I have just joined the list: so, hello everybody!

Last week I bought the new H.O.T. Magnum filter by Marineland. The "water
polishing" micro-pore filter seems to work very well with suspended
particles and clears cloudy water; I do not know, however, if it filters
out bacteria-size matter as well as diatom filters (the company, of
course, claims that it does). The H.O.T. Magnum goes for arond $40.00 by
mail-order,and is pretty well engineered.
...no, I am not a sales-man for Marineland ;-)
