wood & pH



Testing the pH effect of wood is pretty easy. Take a couple of shavings and
add them to water after measuring the pH of the water. Let the wood sit for
while (half a day) and then measure the pH again. Any change is likely from
the wood shavings. Note, if you are using water from the tap it is important
to let it sit for a day before you use it for testing. The pH of tap water
can change when exposed to air for a while.
