I've seen a lot of planted tanks that have a really low water level, sometimes its 5 to 6 inches from the top of the tank. I'm guessing thats for either light penetration or for gas exchange ! Am I right, or is there another reason? Cliff Andrews --- CLAndrews at gnn_com
