I have had good luck cathing some LARGE fish by suspending
a fish bag in the water and herding them in to it. I have
caught fish up to a 2 foot arrowana and a 18 inch tiger
shovelnose catfish. Th elarge cat did stop when his wiskers
found the mouth of the bag, but I still got him in. For
small bottom dwelling cats I have layed clear glass jars on
their side and waited for the cats to enter. Food on the
inside helps...Can you imagine a 2 foot arrowana (about 4
pounds) in a net?  Hope that helps.
