The best way to propagate these plants is to dig up the underground stem
and plant the growing tip (or tuber) in pots underwater (no more than
50 cm deep). This is a tough time of year to get seeds ... in about 3
months they are readily available but I think they would be difficult to
germinate as are most aquatic plant seeds. Perhaps your local gardening
center would have some seeds or plants in their aquatic plant section ...
