White residue from homemade Co2




Just to add a thought to this thread.  I too had the white slime residue when
using the sugar-yeast Co2 method with a airstone.  I cleaned it weekly, until
it was just too much trouble.  I think it is just a natural by-product of the
chemical reaction with the sugar and yeast (Not a scientist, so don't quote
me on it).  I believe it is just something we have to deal with.  As long as
nothing starts dying (like fish) or appears sick, I don't worry about it.
 And so far nothing has (died that is).
