Same thing happened with me. I decided to add a length of 1/2 flexible
tubing to the powerhead outlet and connect the CO2 tube (airline size) to
that instead of the venturi. I connected them via a drip irrigation
connector--punch a hole in the 1/2" tubing, stick end of drip connector
into airline and stick the other end into the hole in the 1/2" tubing. I
happened on this by accident and for some reason, the white stuff stopped
building up.
