Re: Ghost shrimp and red algae

I think I may have gottem off-subject on my last post.

Anyways, I also noticed that my the stomachs on my ghost shrimp are purple.
Since they are transparent, you can see what they are eating, and since
concentrated red algae is a dark purple, I have a feeling that they enjoy
eating red algae, even if you need a lot of them to do a really good job.

I've also seen them eating the algae off of my lilaeopsis. They kind-of do
push-ups, bending down and getting a mouthful and then pushing up to break it
off.
