    here is the composition of the plant "tabs" spikes:
    
    Nitrogen 16%
    phosphoric acid 2%
    soluble potash  6%
    
    the plant tabs specifically designed for the aquarium were about 
20-11-4 i think,  i also found some from the plant store that were 14-
3-7.  the brand name is Jobe's plant spikes.  

another question:  if you have a light fish load will your plants 
still have enough N and P?  also, why are there plant tabs marketed 
and sold for aquariums if you do not need them?
