Actually potassium chloride is available easily two ways:  As
"NoSalt", a salt substitute in many large supermarkets (for nutrient
quantities), and as a recharger for ion exchange units in hardwater
areas (it is promoted as "superior" to sodium chloride for
recharging, and is premium priced, but still VERY cheap).    Dave
