Olga -

Yeast use fermentation (which produces CO2) to break down sugars (like 
glycolysis in non-plants although we can ferment too).  CO2 and EtOH 
production end when the yeast dies.

On the dH = ? ppm   I think 1 dH is equal to 17.4 ppm.  Anybody?
