CO2 tanks and fire extinguishers

Recently someone asked about the possibility of using
a fire extinguisher as a CO2 tank. Many things came
to mind, most of which were not mentionable. However,
it is a question which needs to be taken very seriously.

I want to remind anyone wishing to adapt
a "tank" from one type of gas to another to read the
many postings in the plant digests regarding the dangers
of the high pressure CO2 tanks themselves, and then
multiply that danger by 100 times by trying to convert
a tank that was never meant for that type of use.

Don't take the chance. CO2 tanks are for CO2. If
you wish to use CO2 injection with high pressure tanks,
use the tanks that are manufactured for that purpose.
