Ehime Surface extractor

I recently started using one of these on my plant tank it seams to have quite a bit of bubbles going through it does anyone out there have one of these and if so what has it done to your ph level and the amount of CO2 that is in your water.

I don't run the surface extractor all the time just over night or if I notice that there is a bit of surface oil (comes from oily fish foods I'm told). Anyway give me your thought's 'K
