I have been using CaCO3 tablets in my tanks for the past few years. I get
the generic variety of dietary supplement tablets from the pharmacy. They
are very inexpensive ($2 for 60 tablets). Each tablet provides 1500mg of
CaCO3 (600 mg of Ca). The one I selected are prepared without sugar, salt,
starch, preservative or artificial coloring.
