Thanks for the info.  BTW, I AM using it with an ELECTRONIC T12 ballast.  
I remember that in a previous post, you said that T12 bulbs cannot be 
driven by electronic ballasts.  But I have a Coralife Wizard Electronic
ballast that's made for two T12 bulbs!  They have a version for T8 bulbs also.
(Both available for ~$49 including end caps, from all mail-order fish places.)
It's very light weight and cool, and it drives my T12 VitaLite just fine.
