Can you have too much light? 

You can have too much light for some plants, certainly.  IMO, it 
is not possibel to put "too much" NO fluorescent lighting on an 
aquarium, there simply isn't room.

You will _always_ have problems if light. CO2 and nutrients are 
not in balance.  In this sense, you certainly can have "too much" 
of any of them.
