I believe this is it.  When I do vacum the gravel, I really don't 
notice them.  I only have about 8 fish in the 55 gallon tank, and a lot 
of plants.  The roots are all white and the fish all seem fine.  I do 
use carbon, one over the side, and another canister full of carbon.  I 
guess until something starts to look sick, I'll keep the way I'm going 
for now I guess.
