...I'm decided to not do this because my (and my family's) eyes CAN clearly
discern between "yellow-green" (pH >= 6.4) vs "some shade of green" (pH < 6.4).
And FWIW thus I'm going to "engineer" a double dropchecker setup like so...
Target: 35 ppm CO2 +/- 5ppm
Low-range Dropchecker:
3.0 dKH...
green < 35 ppm
yellow-green >= 35 ppm
High-range Dropchecker:
3.4 dKH...
green < 40 ppm
yellow-green >= 40 ppm
Usage:
low-range green, high-range green ... < 35 & < 25 ergo... < 35 ... INCREASE co2
low-range yellow-green, high-range green ... >= 35 & < 40 ergo... ~ 35 ... OKAY co2
low-range yellow-green, high-range yellow-green ... >= 35 & >= 40 ergo... > 35 ... DECREASE co2
