Yeah, I don't think light is a problem.   They are pretty central so not
getting overshadowed by other untrimmed plants.  And one cut tip can be fine
when it's neighbor beside it melts.  Might try letting them float at the top
for a week before planting. If nothing else the roots will be even bigger.
