I can't think of one possible reason that distilled water would be more 
prone to leaking than non-distilled water. In fact, it seems like the 
reverse should be true since there are no dissolved compounds tying up 
the polarity of the molecules, leaving them free to make loose 
associations with each other (i.e., surface tension).
