I was here when the lawsuit began.  I also thought it had died a
well-deserved death.

Some of the original defendants were also customers of the plaintiff.  That
produced a spate of articles in newspapers and on line, generally titled
'Pet Shop Sues Customers!"

The plaintiff has said publicly that he likes to sue people as a hobby.  It
has to be that, since he has declared bankruptcy at least twice, and, the
last I heard, he himself was being sued by several entities, including his
lawyer.  He now represents himself.

I think he likes people to pay attention to him.

Back then a defense fund was set up and many of us contributed to it.  I
would do that again, if need be.  But I would rather that it just go away.
