Well, last time I had a tank I was using the dark ages gravel substrate with sand and basic fert tabs, about 3W/gal CF and few water changes. For this tank, no CO2, probably 1 or 2 CF bulb, 24" hung up off the tank. I need to check out the lighting first I guess. I do want to keep this one pretty simple.
