It's a tough trade off, imo. a hundred otos don't do half the algae work of one dwarf pleco. But otos never get out of hand and are peaceful and diligient if not very effective workers.
 
Yet, I'd easily recommend otos over dwarf pecos for any tank 30 g or smaller. And throw in a dozen or so Amano shrimp as well ;-)

One thing I found in my tanks was that when they get to be 4-6" long they
can really do a number on your aquascaping. They spend alot of time on the
bottom of the tank and if you have plants that are easily or moderately
easily uprooted they will be. I eventually went to an all-otocinclus
solution.
