You're looking for PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) or PPFD 
(photosynthetic photon flux density) ratings. Each bulb/ballast 
combination is different, and the numbers are extremely difficult to 
come by for most bulbs. Sanjay Joshi tests a lot of MH bulbs for
