Medium filter filters media.  I never thought that would actually be sentence, but I'm using spools of video tape recordings of TV news shows. Very tight on the microns and also adds iron.

 
This is just temporary. Normally, I'm a softie for sponges, but I must admit, that when it comes to harder stuff, Eheim rocks. So long as it is pore rich, not too small, not too big, but jsut right, then it works for me.
