What's the matter with Intermatic or whatever it's called?

So, big deal, the timer looses a couple minutes a week (so does the
sun anyhow). Big deal if it breaks, the lights dont come on
automatically for a couple days.  A new timer is as close as the
hardware store.  Who needs Home Depot or mailorder?

This seems like one of those things,especially on the internet, where
some imagined or tiny theoretical advantage is overwhelming common
sense.

Cheap timers rule.
