Isn't it nice to look back fondly on special moments from
the aquatic-hobby past ;-)

Things blow up where and when they aren't supposed to.
Floor vents meant for forced air heating become channels
for gallons and gallons of water -- at least the floor was
well drained. A carpet acquires a particularly
squish-squish sound when walked upon.  Ahhh, good times. .
