[APD] aquatic snails- can they go terrestrial?

I have very well thriving & flowering bananan  plants in outdoor mini-pond(2
feet diameter plastic tub).

These banana plants have leaves which are going way above the pond, i.e.
about 2-3feet in the air.

Some of these leaves are showing sieves, the appearance suggestive of of
snail eating the leaves.

This pond has many snails in it,  varying in size from 3mm to 2cm.

So I was just wondering, is it possible for the aquatic snails to climb
these plants and eat the leaves
and then may be come back again to water?
