Are you absolutely sure some of your yeast culture isn't getting into your 
tank? You can plumb in a collecting chamber or even a CO2 washer in the line 
from your yeast reactor to the powerhead. This can just be another small 
plastic drink bottle with 2 holes in the cap the line in from your reactor 
goes almost to the bottom , under a small amount of water, and the exit line 
starts near the cap and goes to your powerhead. Then you can see by any 
turbidity in the water if any bubbles of yeast solution are being 
transferred.
