i tried a plastic screw valve and it didnt work it was either on or
off and it started leaking,  then i thought to myself if i put a valve
on the pressure will build up inside the bottle till it overcame
either the bottle lid or the valve and then u get a lot of co2 all at
once or a big mess.  i just let mine bubble at its rate and then send
a bit of air in with the co2 and it gets me to 6.6 ph 60kh and its
pretty steady never had a fluctuation and mine is going on 5wks
switched 3 bottles with no problems.
