Overkill. I'll see your Barr and raise you a Zah.

Buy a large philodendron. Unpot it and use
a garden hose on the roots. Dunk the root ball in
the tank. Wire the plant to an upright, see that it
gets some sun.

Foolproof and good for decades with zero maintenance.
