Building your own mylar reflector is certainly entertaining. If you
have a table saw and a little skill using it you can make almost any
shape using wood. Sticking the mylar to the wood is a pain, but if you
have sufficient patience to practice a few times first, it is doable
too. The downside, or at least my experience says it is the downside,
is that you end up spending more than a good AH Supply light kit costs.
But, the entertainment is priceless!
