[APD] high pH and plants

Hello,

I'm in the process of converting one of my freshwater
planted tanks into an African Cichlid tank. I like to
keep the plants after the transition. Now, I'm more
worried about the pH affecting the plants then the
fish eating them. 

I currently have:
Water Sprite
Green Myrio
Corkscrew Val
Pennywort

How will a pH of 7.5 - 8.0 affect these plants? I'm
assuming these are the ideal pH for African Cichlid
tanks.
