[APD] Replants in pH 7.8

My daughter has been keeping shellies in 7.8 for quite awhile. All our
tanks are 7.8 except for a very few in which we have rainwater for certain
fishes. We have no problem with most plants, but something you might want to try
for your plant wall might be Najas guadalupensis. It thrives in 7.8 and just
about anything else. It grows like crazy but breaks apart easily and can be
stuffed into loles in eggcrate plastic to form a nice wall. Another choice
would be anubias. You can attach it to rocks, wood, etc with monofilamet or
even thread. It will stay put, grow slowly, and provide foliar interest
especially if you get different varieties. Carol
