Yeah, you can get just K, but I wouldn't recommend putting it in your tank.
It reacts violently with water and forms KOH, a very strong base.

I just realized recently that my N03 levels were fairly high after
purchasing a N03 test kit. So, I removed KN03 from my PMDD mix, only to
just realize now that might have been a bad move. In effect, I'm no
longer adding K in any form. That's not good and I likely will start
seeing the results soon if I don't do something.

Any suggestions how add K without nitrates? Can you just get K? :)
