RE: [APD] To pearl or not to pearl...

I've been through this discussion before and no one could explain to me
where the gasses for super-saturation come from.

Most, if not all, municipalities have water towers that provide the
necessary water column to deliver the pressure you see at your faucet. The
water in the towers is not supersaturated, or the gasses would evolve in the
tower. If the water becomes supersaturated after it leaves the tower,
someone must be injecting these gasses in the line somewhere.

some release of gas in the form of bubbles (false pearling) is
common. But
also from the same super-saturation, any O2 generated by the plants
will not
likely dissolve, but appear as true pearling. If CO2 happens to be
one of
the gases present in excess, it could in turn boost photosynthesis
and
result in additional true pearling. Don't dismiss the possibility
that true
pearling is involved quite so quickly or cavalierly.
