Derek:

I have been nuking water for quite some time with no problems.  I collect 
rainwater, but live in a mobil home.  I don't have any place inside to put it.  
In the winter, I keep it in gallon jugs and let it freeze, then I just bring in 
what I am going to need and let it thaw.  After I can pour it, I nuke some to 
almost boiling and use it to warm up the other water.
