[APD] Cloudy water after Flourish dose

From time to time, someone posts that Flourish makes their aquarium water
cloudy. I'm wondering if these people are keeping it at room temp or in the fridge.

When I first began using Flourish several years ago, I kept it at room temp, and it would become dark and stink much louder than when new. After that first bottle, I began keeping it in the fridge, and as a result it keeps a clear amber/tea color during its lifespan and isn't too hard on the nose. Dosing as much as 10ml in a 20 gallon has never caused cloudiness.

I recently bought a fresh bottle, and since I had some of the old bottle left, I decided to leave it out at room temp. As expected, the old Flourish has turned dark and murky, and it does indeed cloud the aquarium water when dosed, though it usually clears within an hour or so.

I'm not sure whether this is a bacterial growth or some kind of chemical reaction (my guess is the former), but it does appear that keeping Flourish at room temp can at least contribute to the cloudy water issue.

FWIW, the "cloud" does not appear to harm plant or animal even in the slightest. It's just unsightly.

Hope it helps someone.
