Alabaster is a very soft decorative rock commonly found in the UK
(and probably elsewhere). Alabastarite sounds like reconstituted
alabastar. God knows what "Stone like finish" means. 

It should dissolve nicely in about a week. Spray it with epoxy if
you really want to use it.
