[APD] Treating Driftwood

The best method for treating driftwood IMO is to fill a tub with boiling 
hot water until it covers the wood. Leave it until the water cools, repeat 
once or twice to get most of the junk, parasites whatever off it and reduce 
the tannins. Place it in a large tub of aquarium water with about 100 Amano 
or green pond shrimp and leave for a week or 2. Change some water daily. 
After a week or 2 the wood will come out of the tub clean and more or less 
ready to go into the aquarium thanks to the shrimp. If it floats I usually 
tie it to an unglazed clay brick or pot until it becomes waterlogged.
