Does anyone have any information or experiences in dealing with this
type of epiphytic algae?

I know that the bleach treatment is very effective in preventing the
algae from being introduced into a new aquarium set up. Has anyone tried
black-outs?

What is the life cycle of this algae? Does it have spores or a motile
stage?
