Realize that Acrylic absorbs water, so the side facing
water will swell compared to the dry side -- i.e., acrylic
warps if it's wet on one sie. The isn't an issue for
aquariums because the box structure holds everything in
palce and the water pressure pushes against the warp.

But for panels above the water, you might need very thick
acrylic or to cement short walls onto the panels to help
them hold their shape.
