What about adding LEDs until you reach a similar growth rate on both sides
of the tank, this would provide a useful comparison between flourescent
watts and LED watts. It may be easier than trying to compare growth rates or
weight. The only problem I can think of is that trying to match a 26W PC may
take a lot of LEDs, might be easier to do if you used less light as a
comparison.
