[APD] Re: RE: Navarro's tank and those funny tanks in Brazil

But thats the point, ICH is often already present, lying dormant. "If the
person cannot match temperatures of the water for a partial, do you really
think that they are capable of managing supplements" Probably not!

chemistry shifts away from source parameters<<

But we are not talking about doing "partials"! We are talking about doing
single, large water changes on a weekly basis, or more often than that in
Chucks case.

changes with moderate drops in temperature are among the best spawning

I wasn't talking about solely temp issues. I was speaking to other issues
such as changing the hardness, the pH... sure it varies from fish to fish,
and I am sure many fish would be unaffected. So what? My point was that
before a newbie, or anyone for that matter just blindly does this, they
better consider all the factors involved for how it may affect whatever type
of fish they keep and be aware of how it may change the water chemistry.

Robert, YOU were the one in my early days that stressed to me the concept of
moderation and allowing the tank to mature. Have you since changed your
views?
