"novak" is a controversial element of dubious value.
While self-promotion suggests it's an essential
parameter for any aquarium, many users find it to
have mostly placebo or deleterious effect. And, it's
expensive.
Should you be brave and rich, you can experiment with
novak, but be warned that anything more than trace
quantities is most likely toxic. There are many on
this list with personal experience with novak, but
the most frustrating aspect may be that it takes
*forever* to reach any conclusion or stability that
isn't mired in enigma. And, the corresponding 'novak
effect' is similarly confusing as it's not clear
what's going on for a very long time under its use.
Unfortunately, many people experimenting with novak
find it to be unstable, unpredictable, and to have
ramifications *long* after you halt its use.
Of course, YMMV.
