Andrew, the T5 compacts are compact fluorescents like AH Supply. The 2X55W
kit is $127.50 to just $64.99 for the same kit (providing ASL is providing
reflectors and moisture-resistant endcaps). If stepdown transformers or
converters were inexpensive (too bad) it would almost be worth ordering
from AH Supply as even with postage you would save at least 30USD. Does
GB have 120V 60hz outlets in their households? Or are they all 230-240V with
the same mains freq? Curious. Your prices over there ARE high. Now you know
why so many of us sing the praises of AH Supply.
