Re: [APD] Re: Some thoughts on substrates and some Heat cabledebate Real Life

This is a real story fron the real world,
A friend of mine, who was on vacations in Brazil, went to a lagoon to get
some aquatic plants, he found Echinodorus tenellus, Echinodorus sp, mayacas
and red miriophillums. Once in the lagoon, digging to get the plants, he
noticed that the temperature of the water was much higher than the
temperature of the substrate. The growth of those aquatic plants was lush.
Sometimes what happens on nature differs from what we read on the books.

Without them would not a temperature difference
between the water coloumn and the root zone negatively
effect the growth of tropical plants? Has anyone tried
seeing how temperature differences between water coloumn and
rootzones effect growth?
