Wandy, most quarantine/hospital tanks are set up with heater, filter, and
bare bottom with floating plants and/or java moss...something to offer a safe
haven/hiding place for any fish. It is kept cycled one of two ways: a few drops
of ammonia daily, or one or two fish that can be moved to the community tank
while it is in use as a hospital or quarantine.
Growing old is inevitable; growing UP is optional.
