Otoh, consider the weight on the floor if you have "party"
and the room is crowded.  A lot more than 1,000 pounds.

In bridge construction, the engineers here tell me, the
highest load that they usually have to design for is the
bridge filled with pedestrians -- they're lighter than cars
and trucks but they space closer.  Still, it's usually not
more than a 100 or pounds per square foot. Anyway, the
typical floor can hold an awful lot of total weight.  but
if you put it all in one place, that's another story 9no
pun intended).
