[APD] Attack of the plecos

I was out taking samples in Salt Springs and I always swim to the bottom of
the outflow shafts as a habit(down about 20-30ft), and looking over I see a
large Tiger Pleco munching away on the vertical wall of algae about 15ft
down. Didn't seem to mind me taking a good look. I could have grabbed it and
taken it home. But where would I put it?
I've seen one in muddy waters etc, but this is a semi salty clear water
spring with Potamogeton, Najas, Vals, Hydrilla etc. I got a very good look.
They are quite nice looking when they are 18" and well fed. They have a few
SW fish running around and blue crabs also. Lots of big fish there. A large
black bear ran across the road right in front of me about 1/4 mile from the
spring as I was coming in. Fun swimming hole. The spring run connects with
Lake George which connects to the St John's River which connects to Ocean.

Tom Barr
